WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER DESPERATELY SEEKING A WOODVILLE WEDDINGS

Alright, I’m putting this out into the universe: I want to shoot a wedding at Woodville Weddings! There, I’ve said it out loud! I’m dreaming of a couple who loves music and the outdoors, who wants a laid-back fun filled festival vibe surrounded by the people they love. Maybe you’re planning live music, campfires, fairy lights, or even a bucking bronco (yes, I’m manifesting hard here). Whatever your outdoor festival vibe, Woodville Weddings is the perfect spot to celebrate, and I would love to capture it for you! This page is currently filled with wedding photos I have over the years  that I think could match the vibe of a woodville wedding.

AM I THE RIGHT PHOTOGRAPHER FOR YOU?

You’re the kind of couple who’s chilled, easygoing, and happy to roll with whatever the day brings whether that’s sunshine, a breeze, or a little unexpected weather. You want a photographer who’s there for the whole day, capturing everything from your ceremony under the trees to your evening celebrations around the fire no rushing off after the first dance. Bonus? I live locally so I can easily camp alongside your guests or more likely nip home and come back early the next day.

I’m a festival girl at heart. Before becoming a wedding photographer I filmed on stage at Glastonbury. Having Woodville Weddings so close to my home in Hitchin has had me dreaming of the perfect outdoorsy festival wedding client ever since. So I’m offering £250 off any Woodville wedding photography package to help make that dream come true (hope that doesn’t sound too keen).

A bit about me I’ve been shooting weddings since 2011 and I’m proud to be one of the UK’s top documentary wedding photographers. That means I’m great at capturing authentic moments naturally with almost no posing unless you want it. My galleries are about 95% unposed with just a little time for couples and groups unless you want the full documentary vibe then I’m happy to skip those.
If this sounds like your kind of photography for your Woodville wedding or festival style outdoor wedding in Hertfordshire get in touch. Hit the WhatsApp button on your phone or drop me an email. And don’t forget to quote ‘Dream Venue Discount’ to grab that £250 off.

5 TIPS TO NAIL A FESTIVAL WEDDING

(From someone who’s survived working at Glastonbury and photographed hundreds of weddings)

Like most couples, you probably started by Googling “festival wedding ideas”.
And like most couples, you were told to buy hay bales, light a fire pit, and hand out flip-flops.

I’ve been to enough festivals (and photographed enough weddings) to know what genuinely makes it feel iconic rather than themed. Here’s what actually matters.

1. Give It a Line-Up, Not a Timeline
Festivals don’t run on rigid schedules — they run on vibes. Create a Glastonbury-style line-up instead of a traditional order of the day. Ceremony, bands, food, DJs, after-party chaos.
Print it. Illustrate it. Put it on wristbands.

2. Forget the Flip-Flops. Get Ponchos.
Instead of trying to protect guests from the weather, invite them to embrace it.
Ponchos, blankets, wellies, towel piles. Make it clear that getting a bit muddy or wet isn’t a disaster — it’s part of the story. Think Glastonbury the year it was knee-deep in mud. Absolutely Iconic!

3. Street Food Vans: Yes — But Not Too Early
Street food vans are peak festival energy… but they’re terrible at feeding 100+ people all at once.
Queues build, people get hungry, and the atmosphere dips.

4. Build an After-Party for the hardcore ravers.
Some of my best festival memories start after the main stage shuts. If you can, carve out a separate after-party space — darker, louder, sweatier.
And if guests are camping, put sleepers further away so the night owls can keep going without guilt.

5. And Finally… Toilets.
I know. Not glamorous. But stay with me.
Nothing ruins a festival faster than grim toilets and 30-minute queues.
Luxury portable loos are essential. Proper flushing toilets, lighting, mirrors, sinks, and enough of them.
No one will ever compliment you on them — but everyone will remember if you get this wrong.

Final Thought
A festival wedding isn’t about pretending everything will go to plan.
It’s about creating a space where people feel comfortable enough to let go.
Mud, rain, noise, chaos — that’s where the magic lives.
And that’s what makes it unforgettable.

KIND WORDS

“We simply cannot recommend Erica enough. Right from the start Erica’s talent, creativity and friendliness shone through. We initially met to chat about what we wanted for the day, our pre shoot was so much fun as well. We’re both pretty introverted and we’re a bit nervous but Erica immediately put us at ease and we had a great laugh and a fab evening with some beautiful photos at the end of the session which are so natural!

On the day itself Erica was simply amazing. She immediately fitted into the party, wasn’t at all intrusive but gave enough direction to achieve what we had spoken about. It was genuinely a pleasure to have her as part of the day. The outcome… wow! Erica’s photos are simply incredible. My husband and I burst into tears when we received them through, so many incredible shots with an amazing mix of the group shots we asked for but by far our favourite shots are the ones of our friends and family just being them! There are some amazing natural moments captured that go above and beyond what you’d expect of classic wedding photos. Erica’s ability to capture these moments with a group of people she’s just met is remarkable.”
