PHOTOGRAPHY FOR MIDWEEK WEDDINGS
I’m a big fan of a midweek wedding. Whether it’s a tiny ceremony at a Hertfordshire registry office, an adventurous elopement and a wander through the countryside, or an effortlessly cool London town hall wedding followed by pints in your favourite pub, midweek weddings have a laid-back feel that I absolutely love.
I might be making some assumptions here, but I tend to think couples who choose a Tuesday or Wednesday wedding are often doing things a little differently. Maybe the idea of a full-blown Saturday wedding doesn’t quite align with what you want your day to feel like. Maybe you’re planning something smaller, more intimate, more flexible, or simply more you.
Some of my favourite weddings have been the ones that have thrown the rulebook out of the window. The weddings where Tuesday is the new Friday. Where a meal in your favourite pub, fish and chips on the beach, or a picnic in the park feels like the perfect way to celebrate saying “I do”. No pressure, no performance, just the people you love and a day that feels right.
Whether you’re planning a truly alternative wedding or you’ve simply snapped up a brilliant midweek venue deal that was too good to turn down, one thing I strongly believe is that your wedding deserves to be remembered for what it actually felt like.
I don’t think you should have to compromise on your photography just because your wedding doesn’t look like a traditional wedding. If anything, I think the opposite is true. The more personal your plans are, the more important it is to have photographs that reflect them. Not a copy-and-paste version of something you’ve seen on Pinterest, but a gallery that feels completely your own.

I don’t have a “midweek mode.” Whether it’s a high-energy Saturday or a quiet Tuesday afternoon, my approach to your wedding remains exactly the same: unscripted, honest, and entirely about the story.
I approach a midweek wedding with the same observant eye I bring to a full weekend celebration. I’m not there to direct the day or turn your wedding into a photoshoot; I’m there to document the real stuff—the nervous laughter before the ceremony, the way your friends actually react during the toasts, and the quiet, unplanned moments in between.
Because midweek celebrations are often more intimate, I find I can blend in even more naturally. It allows me to get closer to the heart of the action without being a distraction. You get my full creative energy, my signature candid style, and my commitment to capturing the atmosphere of your day—just with a slightly more relaxed pace.
