Wow, I am just blown away with some of the recent wedding photography awards I have managed to pick up including a Fearless award!! I am always over the moon when an image I have captured resonates with photography judges, so to have been awarded a fearless award which has been a goal of mine for many years, is just mind blowing. I have so many words regarding the image and the subject of grief at weddings, that I feel it deserves a post all on it’s own. So for now all I will do is say a huge thank you to Lucy and her family, who opened up their lives and vulnerability to me and allowed me to capture a truly heartbreaking moment, within a very happy day.
I also picked up two TIR awards in the most recent round, making it my fourth this year. This is Reportage is totally my genre, these awards inspire me more than any other out there. The standard of the work is so high so to see two of my images nestled in the most recent collection feels like such a big achievement.And finally onto the WPJA where I am current ranked in the top 10 UK photographers having picked up two awards in the last collection.
