“So are you a friend of the bride and groom?”

This is one of my most commonly asked questions at a wedding, and one that always makes me smile. Making you and your guests feel comfortable in my company is really important to me, it helps to capture those natural moments that make your wedding unique. So despite the two big cameras dangling from my neck, I’d much rather you and your guests think of me as a friend rather than a professional photographer.

My Style  – Real Moments, Creatively Captured.

I don’t believe photography should dictate your wedding day, I want you to enjoy your day, eat the canapés you’ve paid for, have fun up with your guests, dance till your feet hurt and look adoringly at your new partner in crime, because you want to, not because I’m telling you to. Your wedding is unique and I want your photos to reflect this. On the big day I try to blend into your wedding, capturing the little candid moments that can so easily get lost. I am a natural light photographer, I favour the look over flash photography. I do however use flash when required, this typically is during speeches and the first dance, where I often use off camera flash to produce a more dramatic element to the moment.

I also love meeting your wedding party and making your guests feel comfortable with me and my camera. This helps with those dreaded group shots that, lets face it, no one really enjoys being in, but you may want a few of them to look back on in the future. It’s this mix of candid photography, with a small number of formal group shots, along with some stunning moments captured between the bride and groom that make up my wedding galleries.

Couple portraits  –  I offer every couple a free engagement shoot. Not only does this give you the chance to meet me and put my skills to the test, but most importantly it gives you both the opportunity to get used to being in front of the camera. I often hear from clients that they don’t like having their photo taken, I completely understand this, which is why I will always encourage you to have a practice run with me before the big day. It gets rid of any nerves you have about being photographed and it also gives me a chance to see what works for you both, allowing me to make the most of the small window of time we normally have for couple shots. I want your couple portraits to be as relaxed and as natural as the rest of your day, but most importantly I want you to enjoy them.

The Edit– I edit every image to achieve a consistent look throughout your day. The overall feel of my work has an element of drama and reflects a classic film look. I love deep and dark tones but I make sure the look fits the mood of your day, with every wedding having their own unique feel. I provide all my photos in Colour and Black and White.
